    About Dr. Pearson

Dr. Kaitlyn Pearson is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist adept at managing a variety of medical and surgical eye conditions.

Dr. Pearson grew up on a farm in western Minnesota. She attended Bethel University, where she obtained a bachelor of science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a minor in music. Dr. Pearson attended medical school at the University of Minnesota and completed ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda University in Southern California. Since residency, Dr. Pearson has worked at the Veteran's Affairs (VA) hospital in Loma Linda as a staff ophthalmologist where she greatly enjoyed serving the veteran population and teaching resident physicians.

While they loved their time in training and practice in Loma Linda, Dr. Pearson and her family are excited to be moving back to be closer to their families and to care for patients in their home state of Minnesota. She and her husband have three rambunctious young children and a dog. Outside of work, Dr. Pearson enjoys knitting, cooking, and spending time with her family at the lake.

Dr. Pearson is passionate about the practice of ophthalmology, as she feels sight is one of the most meaningful ways to care for patients in medicine. She has a special focus on clear communication with patients and prioritizes patient quality of life and sight. She has participated in numerous research projects and publications, is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and won "Surgical Teacher of the Year" during her time training resident physicians. Dr. Pearson looks forward to joining the team at WME to provide compassionate and excellent care to our patients.
